Saying Goodbye Was Difficult For Anna Cardwell’s Family
Eldridge Toney recently spoke out with People Magazine and shared the family’s most private and final hours with his wife. Anna Cardwell sadly passed away on Saturday at the age of 29 following a 10-month battle with stage 4 adrenal cancer.
It was difficult for Eldgridge, Mama June Shannon, and her daughters, Lauryn, Jessica, and Alana. He says the entire family gathered around Anna to support her and say their goodbyes. Eldridge says everyone was crying and very upset. They all knew what was happening, and it wasn’t easy to accept.
Anna Cardwell’s husband, Eldridge Toney, says he wanted Anna to be as calm as possible. He says he spent her last moments stroking her hair and holding her hand. He says the day before Anna died, they spent some private time together, talking and saying their goodbyes. Eldridge says Anna Cardwell’s dying wish was for her daughters Kaitlyn and Kylee to grow up knowing who their mother was. He adds that he made a promise to his dying wife then and there and plans to spend the rest of his life fulfilling Anna’s last request.

The mother of two wanted to share her story with her fans and leave a legacy for her daughters. The film crew finished filming a few hours before Anna’s passing to allow the family their privacy.
According to inside sources, Anna Cardwell permitted her to film her death and funeral. However, WEtv decided against filming to respect the painful and private family moments. For now, Mama June Shannon and Anna Cardwell’s sisters, daughters, and husband will continue to mourn their loss and move forward to carry out Anna’s last requests.
