The long-awaited Tokyo Game Show of 2025 is finally here, and Annapurna Interactive has brought out the big guns, unveiling not one, but three games that look quite unique. From a puzzle-solving adventure revolving around helping citizens inside a utopia to a musical turn-based RPG with a superb soundtrack and a homage to classic action-adventure games, every single title is looking great. While all of them will launch sometime in 2026, it is exciting to see what the indie gaming industry is making.

D-topia

The first game unveiled at the Annapurna Interactive Direct of Tokyo Game Show 2025 is D-topia. This game presents the player with an intriguing concept: finding happiness in a utopia. You take the role of a “facilitator,” a person in charge of solving people’s problems while also uncovering the secrets of a society that seems to be working perfectly, thanks to A.I. D-topia also puts a lot of emphasis on player choices, as there are several things that the main character will choose when talking to other inhabitants of this city. It looks like an interesting and introspective adventure with a lot of puzzle-solving on the side, which sounds like a pretty intriguing recipe.

D-topia will launch sometime in 2026 on PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S.

People of Note

The turn-based RPG genre has seen a resurgence in recent years, thanks to many titles that dare change the formula a bit, and People of Note is among them. This game, developed by Iridium Studios, brings a full-fledged musical and the intricate combat you can expect from a turn-based role-playing game. We’ve already gotten a glimpse at some of the soundtrack and met some of the playable cast members who will join us on this adventure, which is equal parts memorable music and strategic turn-based battles.

People of Note is set to launch in 2026 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Last, but certainly not least, we have Demi and The Fractured Dream, the third surprise of the Annapurna Interactive Direct of Tokyo Game Show 2025. This title is a homage to classic action-adventure games, such as The Legend of Zelda, but brings its own gorgeous art style. It focuses on platforming and hack-and-slash combat, while also incorporating environmental puzzles into the mix. Of course, there’s also an intricate narrative behind it all, which is something that will allure players alongside its unique visual style and impactful gameplay.

Demi and The Fractured Dream launches in 2026 on PC, Nintendo Switch, Nintendo Switch 2, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
