It’s been a hard launch for Overwatch 2. The game that, once again, feels more like another season instead of a sequel keeps getting riddled with bugs. This time, while not a bug per se, it is affecting the players’ experience. Overwatch 2‘s New Hero, Kiriko, seems to have an unfair advantage. While we hope it isn’t something intentional, her hands are positioned so that her head’s hitbox is being blocked. This is making Overwatch 2‘s Kiriko a bit harder to kill. While these types of issues in FPS games aren’t something new, one would expect something a bit more polished from Activision-Blizzard.

Now, this doesn’t mean that Kiriko is immune to headshot damage. She can still receive some. However, it is a bit harder due to how her hands are positioned. When we saw the showcase and animated short of Overwatch 2‘s new hero, we all saw her gimmick—using kunai to deal damage and her ofuda to heal. However, no one expected Overwatch 2’s Kiriko design choice to lead to this.

As with the other news we have received, Activision-Blizzard launched the game in a less-than-optimal state. It is strange that this is happening, given all that has been happening in the company—the Diablo Immortal debacle, the whole Shadowlands expansion for WoW, and now Overwatch 2. Speaking of which, the bugs remain, and some heroes have been removed entirely right now so they can be fixed. We have no idea how long this will take, but it would seem that Overwatch 2 Kiriko‘s hands are another thing to add to the list. So far, if you’ve managed to find a game after bypassing the disconnection errors, you can grind some matches and unlock some heroes. Also, due to all the bugs and errors, Blizzard is giving double experience and a legendary skin soon. So, tune in for that!
