With Nintendo’s jump into the mobile market short ways away we’re getting more information on how to be properly prepared for the arrival of Miitomo, which will launch in North America in March for both Android and IOS phones and tablets according to purenintendo.com.

What is Miitomo? Well, think of it as a way to break the ice with your online friends (I guess it can be used with your non-online friends as well). With the application, you’ll be able to interact with your friends and the app will bring up conversation topics that might not come up with yourself or wouldn’t want to ask for whatever reason. It’s a good way to start up a conversation with people you added to your friends but haven’t talked to in a while.

Nintendo hasn’t gone and made the staying on top of Miitomo very difficult. Starting February 17, you’ll be able to pre-register for Miitomo by either your e-mail, various social media accounts, and even with your Nintendo ID (see easy as many Nintendo games). Pre-registration will allow you to be first to receive updates on Miitomo’s upcoming release and similar to game reservations Nintendo will give pre-registration bonuses to those that pre-register between February 17 and the release date (there’s really no reason to not pre-register).

Miitomo is meant to use alongside My Nintendo but that doesn’t mean that people that don’t own Nintendo products can’t enjoy the app. The app uses the Mii’s, originally created for the Wii, to facilitate interaction between individuals, so if you just really want to create a Mii version of yourself I don’t see why you couldn’t.

People have been wondering for a while why Nintendo never entered the mobile market and now with at least 5 more apps planned to be released by 2017 I can see a Nintendo resurgence in the future.

Luis is a generally great person to be around with unfortunately with his sense of humor you never know when he's being serious. He plays enough video games to consider himself more than a novice and possibly watches too much tv.
