FromSoftware has just released the first gameplay trailer for its next big title, Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon, and the mech combat title’s first in-game look doesn’t disappoint, far from it. After the massive success of Elden Ring, FromSoftware is hard at work on multiple projects simultaneously. Not only has the company been on top of the post-launch support for Elden Ring, but it is also working on the expansion as well. It was recently confirmed that Shadow of the Erdtree has been in the works for well over a year.
The game was initially revealed with a small CGI trailer in January of this year that left fans wanting more. The original trailer didn’t even show a glimpse of the game, making fans believe it was far from complete and shouldn’t be expected anytime soon.
Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon Gameplay Trailer Released
But luckily, it seems that FromSoftware has been going at it full force, as the Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon gameplay trailer shows that the game is a lot more far along than initially thought. The 3-minute long trailer shows the game in all its glory, and not only does it have mech combat, but it also has absolutely massive boss battles and some massive machines that would put any past boss to shame.
And that’s not all; the gameplay trailer for Armored Core VI Fires of Rubicon also confirmed at the very end that the game would come out far sooner than expected. The game is planned to be released in August of this year, something no one could have ever thought possible when you take into consideration when it was revealed.
The game’s movement abilities and stylish combat shows that the mech-combat genre is here to stay, and no one could have done a better job than FromSoftware. If the game’s scale is anywhere near Elden Ring, mech fans are in for a treat.
