Some big news has dropped today regarding the epic Arrowverse crossover coming this fall.
The crossover will be titled Elseworlds and will involve CW series The Flash, Arrow, and Supergirl over three nights. DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will, unfortunately, be left out of this year’s team-up in favor of a more concentrated story.

It seems that either two things are going to happen. Either Barry, Oliver, and Kara all end up traveling to alternate universes (possibly even Batwoman’s universe) or the crossover event will be its own contained story outside of Arrowverse continuity.
For those of you who are unaware of Elseworlds, the name is primarily used by DC when telling a story outside of the main canon. With Batwoman, Superman, Lois Lane, and Nora Fries confirmed to have huge roles in this year’s event, it wouldn’t be too far-fetched to speculate that Elseworlds will be a “what if” story separate from the universe we’ve grown accustomed to over the past several years.
That wasn’t the only crossover news to be unveiled today as Marc Guggenheim, who is a writer for many Arrowverse shows, teased on Twitter that more casting news would be on the way shortly:
“Such. Big. Casting. News. Coming To. Day”
Not even an hour later, it was revealed that LaMonica Garrett (Designated Survivor, Sons of Anarchy) would be playing The Monitor, who is a major player in the famous DC storyline, Crisis on Infinite Earths.
