Ascendant Challenges are challenges you can complete within the Dreaming City in Destiny 2 that change every week. Overall, there are 6 different Ascendant Challenges within the game that rotate out weekly and allow for the collection of different types of gear. Typically you can pick up great Dreaming City gear, including Twilight Oath, Tigerspite, and even Waking Vigil. Completing Ascendant Challenges is a great way to pick up some legendary gear, and even to get extra on the challenges that happen at the same time as Petra’s weekly bounty. Keep reading to learn about this week’s Ascendant Challenge in Destiny 2 for February 21st to February 28th.

Destiny 2: Weekly Ascendant Challenge (February 21-28)

This week, you can pick up two pieces of gear; one from the Ascendant Challenge, and one from Petra’s bounty. To get into the Ascendant Challenge entrance, you’ll have to speak with Petra and purchase an item from her called Tincture of Queensfoil for the low price of 50 Baryon Boughs. You can also find Tinctures of Queensfoil in some of the chests littered around the Dreaming City.

Each Ascendant Challenge has a different entrance, which switches out every week along with the Challenge itself.

This week in Destiny 2, the Ascendant Challenge is Cimmerian Garrison.

You can find the entrance for Cimmerian Garrison in the Chamber of Starlight where you can find the Rheasilvia Lost Sector within the Dreaming City.

Each week, Petra offers a bounty that gives you an award for completing the weekly Ascendant Challenge in the Dreaming City, which can make it quite a bit easier to pick up some extra gear while you’re in the area. In addition to this, there will be another bounty available that will cost you some Dark Fragments, buy rewards you with an Offering to the Oracle. After you obtain it, you can take it to the Oracle in the Spine of Keres and exchange it for an additional drop as well.

That being said, make sure you talk to Petra in the Dreaming City before you head into the Ascendant Challenge and make your way through it to get the extra gear drop. Also, these bounties and challenges are only good for one character, so if you’re wanting to pick up even more gear, you can switch guardians and do it all over again for a max of 3 times overall.

Jordan is an experienced fantasy writer who spends hours behind her laptop, and lost in the pages of a book. She strives to be a successful gaming blogger, and has no complaint about the hours of game time she used to increase her knowledge of all things “geek”. She primarily writes gaming articles and fantasy novels. Ark: Survival Evolved is a favorite, along with Diablo 3, Warframe and Minecraft lately, though you can’t forget the good old Magic the Gathering card game! Writing about games truly gives her joy as it gives her another perspective to look at games from, a reason to really look into the mechanics of the game.
