That’s right, Ubisoft has announced another Assassin’s Creed game – but this time, it is specifically for mobile devices. Assassin’s Creed Identity is the title of this mobile game, to be released later this month.
While Ubisoft has produced Assassin’s Creed games for mobile before, this will be the first game they are marketing specifically towards mobile gaming. The game is set in the Italian Renaissance once again, with players being able to create and customize their own characters from a few different classes. Controlling your assassin will be possible through virtual analog sticks or tap-to-move instructions, which may make movement a little jerky at first. However, Identity will also support gamepads.
The cinematic trailer shows very little about the actual game, but Ubisoft has promised more information will be available in the next few days. Assassin’s Creed Identity has been in the works since September of 2014 when it was released in beta format in Australia and New Zealand. It was developed by Blue Byte, a Ubisoft studio that has also worked on projects like The Settlers and the Anno series.
