A Florida woman is fed up with her neighbors after they allegedly keep parking in her yard, despite her asking them not to. The woman posted a video on TikTok asking for advice and whether or not she can call the cops. Several have taken an interest in her situation, with the video receiving over 247,000 views, over 15,000 likes, and over 6,000 comments.
She claims the parking situation has been “ongoing for months.” She has attempted to ask them to quit by going to their door and leaving notes on their vehicles. When she first moved into the house, there wasn’t grass in the yard. She claims, “I’ve spent the past year working on the grass so I don’t want them to mess up my hard work.” However, the neighbors allegedly keep ignoring her and park in her yard anyway. She has even attempted no parking signs, which she insists she posted along her yard only to find them missing. The Florida woman states, “They threw all my signs away. They’re gone in the bushes.” Furthermore, the neighbors allegedly have a four-car driveway and have no real reason to park in her yard.
In addition to repeatedly parking in her yard, which the Florida woman says is ruining her grass, they’re also dumping out trash. She claims, “They left a pile of trash in my yard.” In the video, she shows empty glass bottles allegedly left by the neighbors. She has bought more no-parking signs but wants to know, “At what point do I call the police?” After the situation has gone on this long, she is uncertain how to proceed and has received interesting advice from people in the comments.
Florida Woman Given Advice On Dealing With Neighbors
Many commenters offer creative advice for getting the neighbors to stop. Most people suggest, “Call a tow truck next time it happens.” However, others are taking things a step further by suggesting damaging their tires. One commenter says, “Put some spike strips down. Bet they won’t do it again.” Meanwhile, others take a slightly more petty approach, such as one who suggests, “Those big obnoxious stickers that are impossible to get off the windows.”
However, some offer more creative preventive measures. One suggests, “HUGE landscaping rocks……like BOULDERS,” while another says, “Big heavy flower pots!” Another takes it a step further and suggests, “Big landscaping rocks/coral build a wall of them.” Additionally, others suggest pots of cement and a fence to prevent anyone from parking there.
Meanwhile, several commenters ask her to post an update on what she chooses to do, specifically if she calls a tow. However, the Florida woman has yet to respond to the advice or post a follow-up video.
