Atari has officially joined forces with developer Graphite Lab to develop a brand-new speed-based platformer entitled Mr. Run and Jump! The game is set to release on all major platforms, including PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam and Epic Games Store, and even Atari VCS.
The release is scheduled for July 25, 2023.
Run. Jump. Repeat! A Colorful Platforming Adventure Awaits in Atari’s Mr. Run and Jump!
Mr. Run and Jump was originally developed in 2021 as an Atari 2600 game, with an emphasis on precise yet challenging platforming set in the Realms of Color. Now, with the help of developer Graphite Lab, the game is being upgraded to deliver the best platforming experience possible.
“We are thrilled to introduce Mr. Run and Jump to gamers worldwide,” said Matt Raithel, own and studio director at Graphite Lab Owner, in a recent press release.
“Dazzling animation, intense platforming, and approachable characters all come together in a package that was made better with the help and support of the team at Atari.”
In Mr. Run and Jump, players will take a journey through the six Realms of Color, each with their own unique style and plethora of dangerous enemies to stand in your way, all on a quest to stop the all-consuming Void! Players must, of course, run and jump through dozens of platforming challenges with a focus on precise control, free-flowing level design, and speed!
Featuring over 30 hours of gameplay spread across a variety of content, including time trials, collectibles, achievements, and many more, Mr. Run and Jump is Atari’s latest expansive platforming experience.
