One of the most anticipated remakes of the year is near, and to build up hype, Atlus has released a 50-minute with the opening gameplay of Persona 3 Reload. While veteran players already know what to expect regarding its story, the gameplay aspect is what’s making everyone bite their nails in anticipation. Thankfully, due to the recent reveal, gamers worldwide can now see what awaits them during the first minutes of this remake. And let’s just say: it’s much better than we imagined.
Persona 3 Reload’s Latest Gameplay Video Showcases the Game’s Opening Hour
If you’re new to the series, we recommend experiencing the game yourself in a few days. However, if you’re eager to see a few character introductions, dialogue mechanics, and world exploration, there’s more than enough here.
As you can imagine, this new clip only covers the opening moments of the game. It includes the opening sequence — masterfully reworked for the remake — along with a bit of running around the map and a cliffhanger that will likely lead to the game’s first fight. And, while we would’ve loved to see a bit of combat, it’s nice to see Atlus is keeping this under wraps until the game’s release date.
Still, you can see a few of the social gameplay, which is big regarding the Persona series. Also, it’s important to note that all the text is in Japanese, which might be a bummer for some, but hey, it’s Persona 3 Reload gameplay, so we can’t complain.
So far, the series has had some great moments with the release of Persona 5 Tactica last year and now this long-anticipated remake. Yet, many fans are hoping for a new entry because, while we love seeing the characters we adore under a new light, we feel it’s time for a new cast to take the spotlight and lead us to a new era for the franchise.
