Authorities have traced the diamond jewelry that Jen Shah acquired, and they intend to seize it as part of a forfeiture obligation. The Real Housewives Of Salt Lake City star was found guilty, and charged with illegal earnings from telemarketing schemes.
Inside Jen Shah’s Forfeiture Obligation
Federal authorities are yet to track down the assets that the TV personality acquired with the money she swindled. Nonetheless, they were able to obtain a diamond-encrusted silver necklace.
The diamond necklace is from the Baranof jewelers brand and has a snowflake pendant. Apart from the diamond jewelry, they also located an 18-karat rose gold and a diamond ring in Jen Shah’s possession.
Consequently, the authorities intend to seize the track-down jewelry to put it towards her forfeiture obligation. Meanwhile, the filing did not share the price tag for the items that they are interested in.
However, Page Six has reached out to Shah’s attorney asking for a comment on the filing, but there are no replies to that yet.
The reality star was involved in illegal earnings from telemarketing schemes and has agreed to pay every dime she got from swindling. She pleaded guilty and agreed to pay the 6.5 million dollars she made from 2012- 2021.
Part of the punishment for her offense is serving five years imprisonment. Initially, the 49-year-old was sentenced to more than six years behind bars. But, she reported to the Bryan Federal Prison Camp, and her stay became reduced by one year.
Shah Is Already Making Restitutions
At the court hearing in January, the RHOSLC star apologized to the people she has hurt through her actions. Shah’s rep also revealed that she has started making refunds to the people that she swindled.
The rep said, “I have spoken to my client and she has initiated the payment toward reimbursement.”
Also, she is committed to making her victims whole. By doing so, she should be able to return home soon to live her normal life with her family and work.
