Avengers fans… assemble! Because Disneyland’s opening ceremony for Avengers Campus will be available for livestream on June 2.
Disneyland has long been a leader in bringing franchise fantasy into state-of-the-art reality, to the delight of its fans. Just this April, they made it possible to actually own a real-life lightsaber. Now, fans can join special guests in celebration of an Avengers first:
Avengers Campus
Ken Potrock describes this MCU wonderland as “the first land dedicated to Super Heroes at Disney California Adventure Park.” He’s not wrong.
For the first time, MCU fans will be able to experience thrilling missions on rides like Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: BREAKOUT! and WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure. They can also delight at “size-defying” treats from Pym Test Kitchen or hang out in Sanctum Sanctorum with Doctor Strange. Exclusive souvenirs are even available at Avengers Campus at WEB Suppliers and The Collector’s Warehouse.
MCU foodies may balk at paying $100 for the Quantum-sized Pym-ini Sandwich until they realize it’s meant to feed 6-8 guests a combination of “salami, ham, provolone and a sun-dried tomato spread on toasted focaccia bread.” It’s the ultimate experience for any viewer who’s ever wanted to see what it’s like to live in the world of the Avengers.
Disneyland Opening Ceremony
Starting at 8:15 pm PST (11:15 pm EST), fans can tune in for the dedication by visiting the Disney Parks Blog. Fans can also receive updates on the livestream by following Disneyland’s Facebook and Twitter, as well as social media channels for Disney Parks. The ceremony is rumored to feature special guests.
A swinging appearance from Tom Holland? A fly-over from Anthony Mackie to make fun of Tom Holland? There’s no word on who might appear. However, fans can definitely look forward to adding Avengers Campus to their must-visit list next time they visit Disney California.
Tune in on June 2 at 8:15 pm PST (11:15 pm EST) for the Disneyland opening ceremony for Avengers Campus! Then join California residents for the official opening on June 4. Disneyland opens to out-of-state visitors starting June 15 due to California’s lifted COVID-19 restrictions.
