One of the super positive additions to the Warzone this year is Bootcamp, a mode where new players can play against their own ranks and the enemy AI soldiers to learn the first steps. And as we expect, the mode isn’t optimized, leading to sweatlords taking over the Warzone Bootcamp so that they can kill off the new players. Classic.
With the Resurgence and normal BR filled with caffeine masters who play like their lives depend on it, Warzone Bootcamp is the only mode left for the new players to enjoy this game. There’s less heat in this mode, laying the ground for learning Warzone so they can later compete with the movement kings on Rebirth Island. However, there should be a sort of lock on this mode so that only new players get to select the Bootcamp playlist.
This user on Reddit is echoing this issue with the game right now. And as much as I agree with the fact that average players shouldn’t ruin the Warzone Bootcamp experience for them, I think the developers should offer a solution. There are many ways to limit the players with Prestige Master levels to jump into the Bootcamp. Or, they can just keep them off.
“Maybe it should be limited to being under certain amount of in match play time per season.” “I feel like a set number of kills could work. If you’re total a**, it’ll take you more games to reach the mark and you can keep practicing.” These are the two great examples of the ways to keep the sweats away from new players’ practice arena in Warzone.
Three years ago the same scenario did happen with DMZ. Although this mode wasn’t cut for new players, of course, there was less of an emphasis on killing other operators in it. With less stress, players could enjoy completing missions, fighting against the AI soldiers/bosses, and exfil. Not long after its release, however, DMZ became the hunting ground for those who lost their game on Resurgence and BR.
