A late-night encounter between Pennsylvania police and a group of men has gone viral after a video showed officers questioning them about a weapon inside a nearby car. At the same time, the men refused to answer and accused police of harassing them.

The video, shared on X by @DailyLoud and originally posted on Instagram by @slimeball._7008 and @vampisland_7, shows officers approaching the group in a residential neighborhood in Pittsburgh. One officer tells the men, “I can see you have a gun in your car,” leading to a discussion about whether the firearm was legally owned.

When an officer asked whether one of the men had a concealed carry permit, the man said he did. After being asked to identify himself, the officer gave his name and badge number.

During the encounter, one of the men repeatedly said, “I don’t consent to no conversations.” The group and the officers also argued over Pennsylvania’s gun laws. One officer claimed they were not in an open-carry area, while one of the men responded, “It is an open carry state, right?”

Officers said they stopped the group because they were standing on the wrong side of the road without hazard lights, but the men argued that was just an excuse to stop them.

The situation became more heated as the conversation continued. One man accused the officers of “fishing” for a reason to search them and asked them to call another officer so they could “watch him pull up.”

Internet Reacts to Pennsylvania Police Stop

The video quickly sparked criticism online, with many people saying the stop was unnecessary. One person commented, “If ‘existing’ becomes probable cause, nobody’s rights are safe.” Another joked about an officer shining a flashlight directly at the camera, writing, “He is wise. Flashing the torch light directly on the camera is such a brave decision.” A third added, “Imagine being treated like a suspect for standing on your own block.”

Others also criticized the officers, with one commenter writing, “Cops just love to ruin a good time. Classic,” while another said the officers were “fishing for a reason to search people just because they’re outside.”

The original Instagram post described the encounter as routine police harassment and claimed officers were “never solving no real crime.” As of publication, Pittsburgh police had not publicly commented on the incident, and it is still unclear whether any further action was taken after the stop.
