Baldur’s Gate 3 is hitting PS5 next month, and a new statement from Larian Studios revealed that the game will have patch parity between PC and PS5. That appeared with a reply given to a rumor claiming that the developers are having problems with Baldur’s Gate 3, and that’s why Starfield is getting an earlier pre-load process. The studio’s Publishing Director both stated that there are no problems with the development, and the patch parity between the PC and PS5 is what is causing the later pre-load, as it will give the devs time to incorporate the same patches as the PC version has gotten. Here’s what PS5 users should expect from the game’s release.
Baldur’s Gate 3 Has No Problems on PS5 and Supports Patch Parity
The patch parity means that updates will arrive on both platforms simultaneously, and all the updates released on PC will be available on the game’s PS5 day one version. The game’s early access will start on September 2 for the pre-orderers, but the pre-loads start on August 31. The dates are very close to each other because Larian Studios will release another patch for PC before September 2, and the content PS5 players get will be exactly the same as PC. The director adds that this is the consumer-friendly way to go.
We want people to have the latest patches, because that seems like the consumer friendly thing to do. It’s not very complicated.
