Baldur’s Gate 3 Preload Before PC Unlock Times
Being in Early Access on PC has helped the community prepare to jump into this world as early as possible. Whether you can preload Baldur’s Gate 3 is complicated, but technically, you can. It is in Early Access, so you can download the game now if you put the money down. Unlike other releases, Early Access means its technically already out, meaning the traditional preload schedule of other games will not be expected.
Just know that when the full release arrives, you will have a hefty download. If you try to get this headstart, note that starting up in Early Access will not let you transfer that save when the game launches. Whether you meet the minimum and recommended specs, you will need 150 GB of free space on an SSD to play smoothly.
For people planning to play on PS5, you will have to wait before being able to preload. The game will not release until September 6, and we don’t have the time to preload. To slightly make up for the game’s delay, if you pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition, you can play the game three days early. The console version will be more expensive if this is the option you choose. PC costs $59.99, while the PS5 version is $69.99 or $79.99 for the Deluxe Edition.
