This article is over 5 years old and may contain outdated information.

If you aren’t hyped yet for The Batman, then prepare to be now. Director Matt Reeves has given us a look at the Batmobile for the new film.

In a tweet posted today, Matt Reeves included three pictures of the renowned vehicle. It’s black (I know, shocker), but looks more grounded than the Batmobile featured in both Christopher Nolan and Zack Snyder’s films. Whereas those look more like a tank, this looks more like an actual car. But that doesn’t mean it isn’t absolutely rad.

The new Batmobile has a sleek design and what looks to be like an incredibly powerful engine in the back. It doesn’t seem to include an arsenal of any kind, but it looks intimidating regardless.

Robert Pattinson’s Batman is also featured in these photos, although we don’t get too good a look at him. We have had some pretty good pictures of the suit before, but it is cool to see the Dark Knight’s new costume in the darkness where he thrives.

In general, Matt Reeves has not been shy about the film. He has continually shown pictures from the set and of Robert Pattinson in the suit. As someone who hasn’t been a fan of the recent handling of Batman in film, I appreciate the transparency.

We haven’t been given a look at any of the supporting actors in character, like Colin Ferrel as The Penguin, Paul Dano as The Riddler, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, and Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth. Some of those acting transformations I am hopeless curious about, so hopefully, we’ll get a sneak peek soon. For now, I am more than willing to settle with an image of an incredibly cool Batmobile.

What are your thoughts on the new Batmobile? Overall, what are your thoughts on what Matt Reeves’ The Batman so far? Let us know in the comments below!
