On March 19, players worldwide will experience this shooter’s new era. Season 7: Turning Point promises to be one of the biggest updates to come to Battlefield 2042. While many can expect the usual new guns and vehicles, there’s much more to it than that. Whether you want to take the fight to a beloved map or try new high-stakes locations, this is the best time to pack your guns and wreak havoc.

Haven-ward

In Season 7, players will experience a new map called Haven. This map is heavily inspired by some of the game’s classic locations. It’ll feature different tactical areas where players can battle it out to control them. From a broken Condor to the chaotic town center, this location is yours for the taking. However, the destruction we love can’t happen without the proper equipment, and thankfully, DICE is giving us great options.

Guns for Days

Battlefield 2042‘s new season includes three new guns that suit all playstyles. The all-rounder AK5c, the accurate and deadly DFR Strife light machine gun, or the fast SCZ-3 submachine gun. You can’t go wrong with any of these weapons, which will only make the fights more enjoyable and destructive. Furthermore, those fans of anti-tank equipment should watch out for the Predator SRAW. And if blasting your enemies from the safety of a vehicle is more to your liking, there’s a surprise, too. The XFAD-4 Draugr, a bomber vehicle, will launch later during the season.

A Classic’s Comeback

Part of Battlefield 2042‘s latest game design is the revamp of classic maps, and Season 7 will surprise players with a fan favorite. Gamers will experience the Stadium portion of the Hourglass map as a stand-alone version. Given its capabilities for chaotic close-quarters combat, seeing this location return is something that excites us. Hopefully, this isn’t the last map we see with a revamp because there are many more from the series we’d like to see make a rightful return.

Besides the two new maps, the three new guns, and a brand-new destructive gadget, you can expect other usual stuff. We’re getting a new battle pass, which includes the new additions in its free version. Furthermore, we’ll get a free period from March 21 to 24, and it will include Season 7 content for gamers to experience. And to the loyal soldiers, DICE keeps bringing QoL updates, such as improved weapon recoil, which is something everyone will see soon.
