The Entity’s Realm is about to get bigger. Behaviour is launching an Insider Program for its new 1-4 player PvE shooter set in the Dead by Daylight universe. Codenamed Project T, this action-horror game remains in early development. Behaviour is opening its doors to the community to elicit feedback and help shape the game’s ongoing development. Participants will get to play the game early and get sneak peeks at the newest changes and additions. Hopefully, Bill’s time in the Fog will help our new heroes stay alive. Here’s what we know so far about Project T and the Insider Program.
Project T Expands the Dead by Daylight Universe
Dead by Daylight gives survivors few options but to run and hide. Project T changes that. As Trespassers trapped within the Backwater (an unexplored region of The Entity’s Realm), players will battle their way through waves of enemies in a hectic fight for survival. With weapons, trucks, and talismans at their disposal, cooperation will be key in this session-based, third-person shooter. Since the genre includes games as diverse as Left 4 Dead and Helldivers 2, it’s too early to say what kind of experience Project T will deliver.
It’s unclear for now how Project T will balance exploration, combat, and storytelling. Dead by Daylight‘s isolated Trials offer few opportunities to dig into the game’s expansive lore, so Project T could offer a chance to learn more about The Entity and its captives. Do the Thralls present in the Backwater serve The Entity? Is there a difference between the Trespassers and the survivors we’re familiar with? The Insider Program offers players eager for answers (and bloody co-op action) a chance to get in early. At least in the Backwater there’s (probably) no Nurse.
