From submarines to nightclubs and even a scrap yard, there are many properties a player can own to make their criminal career. While most of them are fun and give you a lot of money, only a few of them do that with little time and effort. So, whether you’re new or a veteran of this live service title, it is always good to know which property you should focus on.
The Best Business in GTA Online for December 2023
With over 20 businesses in GTA Online, keeping track of all of them for your criminal enterprise might be challenging, especially with Rockstar Games changing how they work occasionally. Some improve, some worsen, and it is always important to see which ones are the best for you to tackle and use your time wisely. This is our personal list and the ones we recommend you own in December 2023.
5. Acid Lab
Let’s start with one of the new properties on the block. The Acid Lab debuted during the Drug Wars update and saw the arrival of the Fooliganz and their drug-related business. Players who finish the six short initial missions can unlock the Acid Lab and buy it for $750,000.00. What makes this a great business is that once upgraded, you can earn a lot of money easily. While it is better to make deliveries in a public lobby, those who prefer to play solo can make at least $300,000.00 in a few hours, making it a great investment for any new players.
4. Hangar
This property got an update last year and became one of the best businesses in GTA Online. Previously, many people used this as a place to park their aircraft, which is, in essence, its main function. However, there are also smuggling missions and cargo deliveries that can make you a lot of cash. The best thing about this is that the more product you accrue, the more money you’ll get by selling. Certain products even get bonuses after reaching a certain threshold in your warehouse. Also, you can now choose to make sourcing missions on air or land; we recommend the latter.
3. Agency
You might remember the big Dr. Dre update, which also saw the return of Franklin and Lamar to the game. Beyond this being a love letter for the single-player campaign, it brought one of the best properties in the game that gives you one million without much effort. By owning an Agency, you can take up some contracts that pay you a lot of money, Dr. Dre’s one being the most profitable one. Besides, Payphone Hits are a great way to earn $85,000.00, and there’s a short cooldown for them, meaning you can grind them while you wait for other business to process their products before you can sell them.
2. Nightclub
Many players might stay away from Nightclubs but let us tell you: it is a mistake. Owning a Nightclub might not seem like a great idea, but it is one of the best businesses in GTA Online when it comes to passive income. By maintaining a high popularity, you’ll get a lot of cash in your safe. However, the bread and butter is the Underground Warehouse. By owning other properties like lock-ups and cargo warehouses, the Nightclub stocks some of these goods, which you can sell later. You can earn more than two million here, but we recommend leaving this property until the last.
1. Kosatka
Years after its initial release and despite the recent nerf to The Cayo Perico Heist, the Kosatka is still the best business in the game. Unlocked by heading to the Music Locker and purchasable from $2,200,000.00, this underwater vehicle unlocks the abovementioned heist. You can farm it alone if you have the patience for it and get one million in a matter of hours. Once you scope the entry points of the island, all you must do is return, check the main objective, and start prepping. We recommend grabbing some useful vehicles like the Kuruma or the Oppressor to make the preparation much faster.
While you’ll need a lot of money to buy these businesses, they are the best you can own in GTA Online right now if you want to own some of the most expensive things in this title. With GTA 6 on the horizon, we imagine Rockstar Games is already planning the online portion of the next mainline entry, but in the meantime, there’s a lot to do in Los Santos.
