If you were starstruck by Hanya’s skills in Honkai Star Rail, wait until you build her sister Xueyi. This character that debuted in version 1.6 is one of the best DPS party members you can get, and she’s a 4-star character, meaning it is much easier to get than any of the premium ones. What makes her so great is the ability to deplete enemies’ toughness and add a few follow-up attacks here and there. So, if you’re one of the lucky few to have this judge on your team, you better take advantage of her whole kit.
The Best DPS Build for Xueyi in Honkai Star Rail
Xueyi is a 4-star character who hails from the Path of Destruction and wields the Quantum element. While this element has some of the best characters in the game, including Seele, Silver Wolf, and Fu Xuan, Xueyi doesn’t fall back despite her rarity. She can do a lot of splash damage, trigger follow-up attacks, and deplete toughness faster than other party members. However, you need the right things to make her shine on the battlefield, such as the following Light Cones and Relics.
Best Light Cones for Xueyi
Xueyi’s skills rely on her attack percentage, meaning pairing her with any Light Cone that increases this stat is ideal. However, there is no featured Light Cone for her due to her rarity, so she’ll use some of the ones we have in the game already. Here are the ones we recommend:
- On the Fall of an Aeon (Best): Whenever the wearer attacks, their ATK is increased by 8% in this battle, up to 4 times. When the wearer inflicts Weakness Break on enemies, the wearer’s DMG increases by 12% for 2 turns.
- The Moles Welcome You: When the wearer uses Basic ATK, Skill, or Ultimate to attack enemies, the wearer gains one stack of Mischievous. Each stack increases the wearer’s ATK by 12%.
- Nowhere to Run: Increases the wearer’s ATK by 24%. Whenever the wearer defeats an enemy, they restore HP equal to 12% of their ATK.
On the Fall of an Aeon is the best Light Cone you can get for her right now. Xueyi needs a high attack stat and also an increased Break Effect, which this Light Cone provides. If you haven’t done the Simulated Universe in a while, then we recommend either of the two Light Cones we mentioned while you farm for the 5-star one.
Best Relic Set for Xueyi
Many would think that Xueyi needs the Quantum Relic Set, but that’s not the case. Since we need her to break enemies’ toughness as fast as possible, there is only one set that is the best for her, and it is the following one:
- Thief of Shooting Meteor (4 Pieces)
- 2-Piece Bonus: Increases Break Effect by 16%.
- 4-Piece Bonus: Increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 16%. When the wearer inflicts Weakness Break on an enemy, it regenerates 3 Energy.
- Planar Ornament: Kingdom of Banditry (2 Pieces)
- 2-Piece Bonus: Increases the wearer’s Break Effect by 16%. When the wearer’s SPD reaches 145 or higher, the wearer’s Break effect increases by an extra 20%.
If you prefer to add some more Quantum damage to Xueyi’s attacks, we recommend going for the Genius of Brilliant Stars set, which will increase her elemental damage.
Best Team Comp for Xueyi
Undoubtedly, Xueyi is yet another character that’ll do wonders in a mono-Quantum team comp, which is what we’re aiming for her build in Honkai Star Rail. While you could pair her with other characters, she won’t shine as much, and she’ll need the following characters to excel:
- Main DPS: Seele
- Sub-DPS: Xueyi
- Support/Healer: Fu Xuan/Lynx
- Second Support: Silver Wolf
To make this team perform best, the ideal composition requires Fu Xuan with her featured Light Cone, Seele, Xueyi, and Silver Wolf. If you don’t have Fu Xuan’s Light Cone, then you should remove Seele and add Lynx as a healer. This will make Xueyi your main DPS, which is a viable option.
You could always mix and match characters to make Xueyi’s build work in Honkai Star Rail, but a mono-Quantum team comp is the best for her. Still, the game is flexible for many types of content, so you can always find a middle ground between this build and the one you want to make. Remember to equip her with the right items, and you’re good to go.
