MW3 Season 4 Reloaded Week 7 has started, and we’ve got a new conversion kit called the JAK Gunslinger to unlock. The new product of the JAK industries is another donation to the definitely-not-broken weapons in the current meta. However, due to the balancing updates that release every week/month, the devs might actually give the Basilisk pistol a buff and make JAK Gunslinger the next meta. That said, you better unlock and build the best loadout with it in MW3 and Warzone. Let’s dig in.
How To Unlock the JAK Gunslinger Conversion Kit
As always, with the Weekly challenges of MW3 and Warzone seasons, you’d have to complete 5 out of the 21 objectives above to unlock the JAK Gunslinger conversion kit. The best strategy to grab this aftermarket part as quickly as possible is by hopping into the MW3 Multiplayer mode and completing the 5 challenges below:
- Get 25 operator kills with a recommended weapon
- Get 15 operator kills using suppressed recommended handguns
- Get 10 operator clean kills with recommended handguns
- Get 3 operator kills with 1 magazine 5 times with recommended handguns
- Get 15 operator headshot kills with a recommended handgun
So the strategy for completing all the mentioned objectives is by using the JAK Intimidator conversion kit on Renetti with this build:
This setup has all the attachments and the things you need to complete the challenges and unlock the JAK Gunslinger in 1 or 2 MW3 Multiplayer Small Maps Moshpit matches. Just remember: it’s best if you turn on the Akimbo Paired option to shoot both weapons with a single trigger action.
The setting is under Options> Gameplay> Akimbo Behavior.
Best JAK Gunslinger Kit Basilisk Loadout
- Aftermarket Part: JAK Gunslinger
- Barrel: 10.5″ Ftac Arrow
- Rear Grip: Akimbo
- Laser: Basilisk Grip Laser
The JAK Gunslinger is one stingy conversion kit when it comes to choosing your attachments. You can not put any ammunition types that boost the weapon’s power, like High Grain Rounds, and as soon as you choose the only barrel that adds damage range to your poorly converted Basilisk, you lose the muzzle.
So, with that in mind, all we have is the 10.5″ Ftac Arrow for more damage range, the Basilisk Grip laser for hip-fire accuracy, and the Akimbo rear grip. Don’t even try using this gun without the Akimbo attachment since the damage on this thing is just plain bad.
Nerd Review: Is JAK Gunslinger Conversion Kit Any Good?
You’ve probably got the point by reading about the best MW3 JAK Gunslinger loadout above. This conversion kit is actually a nerf to the weapon, downgrading the damage to give you 2 additional rounds in the chamber. The damage is below your expectations from the Magnum protege, and all the positive you get is the recoil control.
Now, while you can manage to get a few kills with this weapon in MW3 Multiplayer, I do not recommend using the JAK Gunslinger Basilisk in Warzone or MWZ. If you want an Akimbo pistol that is capable of doing one-shot headshots in MW3 Multiplayer and draining the enemy’s HP like a level 1 zombie in Warzone, use the JAK Intimidator Renetti. At least for now, it is the meta.
