With the popularity of VR games in Roblox, the number of games offering VR support has increased considerably. However, actually being able to find a GOOD VR game in Roblox‘s massive game library can be extremely difficult. With the addition of the VR genre, a host of games might work better with the new perspective, while others might lose something in the process. Good thing there’s a list of the six best Roblox VR games to play this year!
[Updated August 8, 2024 – Rewrote the list to add new games.]
MIC UP
MIC UP is an interesting experience because it is essentially Roblox’s version of VR Chat. In it, you’re encouraged to talk to other players to enjoy mini-games and other in-game experiences in a more intimate setting. It’s primarily used as a hangout space where you can be with your friends while each flaunting your unique Roblox outfits.
With a VR headset, you can map your movements to your character’s for an even more immersive experience. Considering the nature of the game, it gets frequently updated with new content to keep the experience fresh. It’s also important to note that the game is for players 17 and above.
VR Hands v3.1
Back when VR was first established, games that involved players being floating heads and hands playing together were the norm. Roblox takes that concept a bit further while also poking fun at it in VR Hands; more specifically, VR Hands v3.1. The latter puts players into lobbies where they can build, play minigames, interact with one another, and so much more. This version gives players the option to physically chat with one another using their headsets as opposed to typing in the chatbox.
Natural Disaster Survival
What’s more fun than creating natural disasters without any fear of them physically harming you? Nothing. Natural Disaster Survival allows players to create disasters such as volcanic eruptions and earthquakes just to watch the chaos unfold before them.
Considering it’s VR, fans can float to their preferred location and merely watch as the butterfly effect of disasters takes over a small island as they try to survive. It’s both morbid and incredibly fun, making it the ideal Roblox VR experience.
VR Hangouts
VR Hangouts is similar to VR Hands, though the experience can still be enjoyed by those who don’t own VR headsets. In fact, players who don’t have headsets are implemented into the gameplay, allowing players with headsets to carry them places, throw them, and more. In fact, it’s probably more fun for those without headsets since they can be rag-dolled around. Regardless, this is an experience where you can hang out with your friends to play games, talk, and most importantly, hang out.
OPPOSER VR [Alpha]
The ultimate first-person shooter experience in VR has landed on Roblox with OPPOSER VR. It’s completely playable without a headset, but the ultimate version of the game really requires one. You’re able to get a complete in-game view of the map with real-time reactions to shooting at others and being shot at. It can be a little heart-pounding, especially with the intended realism behind the movements, but it’s completely worth it once you get through an entire round.
VRBlox Drawing
If you play drawing games like Gartic.io with your friends, you might want to try VRBlox Drawing. You can draw with your friends and laugh or admire their drawings all while in the gamescape of virtual reality. You have many color options; most importantly, your drawing area is completely 3D. Yes, you heard right. In this game, you can draw all around yourself without the limitations of a canvas. It’s incredibly fun to play with friends or on your own, but beware, it’s incredibly easy to lose yourself in this.
