In Warframe, some guns shoot bullets, lasers, and even biohazard organic matter, but those weapons aren’t sharp compared to the gun that shoots blades! The Stahlta. This peculiar rifle fires vertically oriented razors that shave off enemy heads easily. You’re going to need our Warframe Stahlta build guide to get the most out of this weapon, of course. It doesn’t exactly pack as much punch as Kuva, Tenet, or Incarnon weapons. Still, this build can carry you in Steel Path.
Warframe Stahlta Build Mods, Arcanes, & Forma
Staying true to the theme of shooting blades, we made our Warframe Stahlta build a Bleed weapon, meaning it triggers the Slash status effect. This gives the weapon infinite scalability in Steel Path no matter the target’s HP (since Slash status deals percentage-based damage).
And luckily, the mods you need for this Stahlta build aren’t expensive. Some of them are also meta and standard ways to build non-AoE weapons though Stahlta also has an AoE mode. Slot these mods in for an optimal Steel Path Stahlta.
- Terminal Velocity (Exilus)
- +60% Projectile Speed
- Stahlta sadly has projectiles and isn’t a hit-scan weapon. There’s a noticeable travel time before the blades hit the enemies. So you can shorten that with Terminal Velocity. Think of it as an accuracy upgrade.
- +60% Projectile Speed
- Galvanized Chamber
- +80% Multishot | On Kill: +30% Multishot for 20s. Stacks up to 5x.
- Pretty standard for most Steel Path Primaries nowadays. Make sure to prioritize this one when you’re farming out Arbitration missions.
- +80% Multishot | On Kill: +30% Multishot for 20s. Stacks up to 5x.
- Galvanized Aptitude
- +80% Status Chance | +40% Direct Damage per Status Type affecting the target for 20s. Stacks up to 2x.
- This very well means our Warframe Stahlta build is a Status weapon. So having a Warframe that adds Status effects, like Saryn, helps in DPS.
- +80% Status Chance | +40% Direct Damage per Status Type affecting the target for 20s. Stacks up to 2x.
- Hunter Munitions
- +30% chance to apply Slash on Critical
- It’s the mod that makes Stahlta Steel Path viable, and it also works for most Primaries that aren’t Incarnon.
- +30% chance to apply Slash on Critical
- Critical Delay
- +200% Critical Chance | -20% Fire Rate (x2 for Bows)
- Because you want Hunter Munitions to proc more often. Don’t worry too much as you can offset the lowered Fire Rate using the next mod below.
- +200% Critical Chance | -20% Fire Rate (x2 for Bows)
- Vile Acceleration
- +90% Fire Rate (x2 for Bows) | -15% Damage
- There’s our offset for Critical Delay’s negative Fire Rate, and it even overcompensated. The lowered damage can be negligible at this point.
- +90% Fire Rate (x2 for Bows) | -15% Damage
- Vital Sense
- +120% Critical Damage
- You might as well make good use of that high Critical Chance.
- +120% Critical Damage
- Malignant Force
- +60% Toxin | +60% Status Chance
- For Viral damage.
- +60% Toxin | +60% Status Chance
- Rime Rounds/Primed/Cryo Rounds
- +60% Cold | +60% Status Chance
- To complete Viral damage.
- +60% Cold | +60% Status Chance
Having Viral damage in a Slash or Bleed weapon makes the Slash Status effect even more potent as the enemy practically loses 50 percent of its HP.
You’re going to need a fair amount of Forma for this weapon, around five Forma. You can get away with three or four Forma if you don’t use Primed Cryo Rounds or if you don’t max out the two Galvanized mods though expect lower damage.
Arcanes for the Warframe Stahlta Build
There’s really only one Arcane that’s ideal for this weapon and that would be Primary Merciless. Rank 5, of course.
You can obtain it from Steel Path Acolytes though the drop chance is random. You can also trade for it with Platinum as it’s relatively cheap compared to other Arcanes. A Rank 5 even goes for as low as 20 to 30 Platinum.
Playstyle for Stahlta
You can treat Stahlta in Warframe as some kind of regular rifle, but with a better chance to score headshots. Since the blade projectiles are vertically oriented, you can aim for the neck or anywhere near the head of enemies and you still have a fair chance of getting headshots.
Keep the Slash Status effect in mind– if you see it triggered already, you might want to stop firing and just let the target bleed to death so you can move on to the next one.
You’ll also be pleased to know that Stahlta has an aforementioned AoE fire mode or its alt-fire mode. It’s a straightforward AoE projectile shot that explodes with a radius of around two meters. This AoE alt-fire can also trigger the Slash Status so it’s great for clearing out clusters.
The AoE damage is quite low, however, so don’t rely on it too much. The primary fire razor blades are still your sharpest tools for killing here.
