Valheim, the popular medieval Viking-themed survival game, is now out on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and Game Pass. Similar to Minecraft, players can use codes to generate randomized terrains that add tons of variety, making one playthrough different from the last. This Valheim guide will help you to find the best seed to play around in your Xbox save, either to make it easier to find resources and bosses or to give you a bit more challenge for a new playthrough.

Note: Both the PC and Xbox versions of Valheim should render the same terrains using the same seed code. But keep in mind that a number of players on Reddit and other social media platforms reported that currently, the Xbox version of Valheim reads an existing PC seed differently. Developer Iron Gate AB has said that it is working to fix any reported bugs, but at the moment, it seems it’s better to start from scratch with a new seed on Xbox instead of using existing ones.
