Into The Blue Unknown

Eager players who have been anticipating the official release of E-Line Media’s next project Beyond Blue don’t have to wait any longer. During the week of World Oceans Day – which lands on June 8th – the deep-sea adventure will launch that Thursday, June 11th.

In celebration of the announcement, the indie development team of E-Line Media released a new trailer entitled Beyond Blue: Ocean Insights. The footage is a brief look into what the players can discover as they explore the blue mysteries of the Western Pacific Ocean.

Beyond Blue: Ocean Insights Trailer

“These animals are sharing this world that might have been millions of years going on in their world. And suddenly, for the first time, we as humans are tuning in.” – Dr. David Gruber

The trailer recounts the team’s previous project that explored the culture and humankind of the Iñupiat in Never Alone. With individual scientists voicing their passion for their work, we’re showcased with a round of real-life underwater video captures of various sea creatures. These creatures are a few examples of the potential discoveries a player can make; a total of 45 can be researched as you continue to explore an evolving ecosystem.

In Beyond Blue, you follow a crew of scientists who seek to utilize their “Ocean Sense Network“, hoping it will aide in their quest to reach the uncharted depths of the deep blue uncertainty. The team of Mirai, André, and Irina will travel amid a realistic realm of underwater environments that are based on sea surface topography.

Furthermore, the Ocean Insights are 16 mini-documentaries that provide current and actual footage of science’s ocean experts.

Beyond Blue

Beyond Blue will feature the voice talents of Anna Akana (Ant-Man, Corporate), Mira Furlan (LOST, Payday 2), Hakeem Kae-Kazim (Black Sails, Hotel Rwanda), and Ally Maki (Wrecked, Toy Story 4).

Beyond Blue will be coming to PC, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 this June 11th in celebration of Worlds Oceans Day.
