Billy Ray Cyrus‘ nightmare over his performance during the Trump 2025 Inauguration at the Liberty Ball in Washington is far from over. On Wednesday, the singer’s son, Trace Cyrus, posted a sad and heartfelt post on social media pleading with his dad to get help.
Achy Breaky Heart singer Billy Ray Cyrus blames his unusual performance at the Liberty Ball on technical difficulties. The singer posted on his Instagram page, writing, “This was the most fun part of the Liberty Ball! And if you didn’t see it… you just had to be there. I just don’t think you understand.“
However, his fans were not the only ones concerned for Billy Ray during his performance. The singer’s son Trace Cyrus also took to social media to address his concerns for his father and beg him to please seek help.
Even though Trace is not Billy Ray’s biological child, he reveals in his Instagram post how much he loves and worshipped his dad. He says the happiest day of his life was when Billy adopted Brandi Cyrus and Trace in 1993 after marrying their mom, Tish Cyrus.
Sadly, the post takes a heartbreaking turn, and Trace Cyrus tells Billy Ray he doesn’t recognize the man he has become. Trace acknowledges his dad may be upset with him over the post but adds that he and his sister have been very concerned about him for some time.
The 35-year-old musician doesn’t hold back and continues getting very personal during his online intervention.
Trace Cyrus Gets Personal With Billy Ray Cyrus
Billy Ray’s son reveals he doesn’t care if his dad is upset with him for writing this post. Then he points out Billy Ray’s recent actions and how they hurt his children—especially Noah Cyrus.
Trace blasts Billy Ray, telling him he is unhealthy and everyone can see it. He also admits to his father that he is more than a year sober from alcohol and feels amazing. He extends his hand to Billy Ray, hoping to save him from himself.
One fan comments, “I have been a fan of Billy Ray Cyrus for years. Seeing him struggle on stage and reading his son’s post is heartbreaking. It is tragic to see Billy Ray become such a sad mess. I hope he gets help soon.”
Things have been on a downhill decline for Billy Ray Cyrus since his divorce from Tish Cyrus. The couple’s tumultuous split left the family torn apart. A raging feud broke out amongst the siblings as they chose sides between their parents.
Unfortunately, the nasty split left many a deep, dark family secret spill. Billy’s life continued to unravel following his marriage to singer Firerose. Cyrus’ third wife of less than a year came out hurling accusations of abuse at Billy.
As previously reported, things became so bad that in August, Dolly Parton, Miley Cyrus‘ godmother, issued a stern warning to her longtime friend Billy Ray, telling him to get help or lose their friendship.
Months later, it looks like Billy Ray Cyrus’s life has hit another wall. Hopefully, Trace Cyrus’ painful words will help his struggling father realize he needs help before things take a more dangerous turn.
