A Black mother in Kentucky shared a shocking discovery after hidden-camera footage allegedly showed her nonverbal autistic son being abused at school by an assistant teacher.
The mother alleged that school staff spent months telling her that her son was misbehaving in class. However, she said the claims made her suspicious because her son, who is nonverbal and autistic, did not display the same behavior at home. According to the mother, she repeatedly asked the school for permission to attend classes with him so she could better understand what was happening, but she said those requests weren’t answered.
The mother later decided to place a hidden camera in her son’s hair. When she later retrieved the device and reviewed the footage, she said she made a disturbing discovery. According to her claims, the video appeared to show concerning behavior involving the assistant teacher while the classroom teacher had stepped out. She alleged that her son was left alone with the assistant teacher during that time.
Once the classroom teacher left, the assistant teacher allegedly began physically attacking the child and choking him, according to the mother’s account. She also claimed that the assistant teacher used a racial slur during the alleged incident. After reviewing the footage, the mother immediately went to the school to confront staff about what she said she had discovered.
The mother later shared video footage of herself entering the school and speaking with the receptionist. In the recording, she can be heard crying as she described what she allegedly witnessed on the hidden camera involving her son. “He’s strangling my child for no reason,” she said, referring to the assistant teacher. She then informed school staff that police were on their way to the school to respond to the situation.
“He’s choking my son and calling him the n-word,” the mother added once they entered an office. She alleged that the assistant teacher had used a racial slur toward her son, referring to him as a “stupid [n-word]” during the incident captured on the hidden camera. The mother also accused school staff of failing to act despite her repeated concerns, saying she had “begged” them to allow additional oversight in the classroom. “Y’all let this happen,” she said. School staff responded that they were not aware of any alleged abuse at the time.
At one point, a staff member informed the mother that they would pause the discussion until police arrived. Despite this, the mother continued speaking while appearing visibly emotional. She further alleged that her son had been coming home with scratches every day. She then broke down in tears, saying, “My sweet baby. And he’s so small and sweet,” as she reacted emotionally to the situation.
As the video continued, the mother said she had already contacted her lawyer regarding the situation. She then decided to leave the building and wait in her car for police to arrive. Once in the vehicle, a man accompanying her played footage from the hidden camera. In the recording, the boy can reportedly be heard screaming for help.
The mother later claimed that her son had been sitting quietly in class before the alleged incident occurred. The footage also showed the assistant teacher speaking to him in an aggressive manner and yelling during the interaction. Toward the end of the video, the boy could be heard screaming again. It remains unclear what happened afterward or what disciplinary or legal steps the school may be taking in response to the allegations.

Total accountability or nothing,” while another added, “He supposed to be safe at school‼‼‼ The teachers supposed to protect him not harm him‼! Lock the [expletive] up for 20-30s if not more‼‼‼”
The video left many viewers deeply concerned for the child’s well-being following the allegations described by the mother. It also sparked broader discussion online about school safety. Some commenters also suggested homeschooling as an alternative option for parents.
