One of the biggest announcements in the Call of Duty Direct event for Black Ops 6 was the return of the round-based Zombies. This is thrilling news for fans, and players are already digging into the story by discovering facts about the revealed Black Ops 6 Zombies maps and how they relate to the Black Ops Cold War canon. However, now that we know the main characters for the Black Ops 6 Zombies story, the ending of it is somehow spoiled with MW3.
We’ve Seen A Glimpse of Black Ops 6 Zombies Ending Last Year
The one factor that spoils it all is that MW3 takes place years after the events of Black Ops Cold War and Black Ops 6. So, with that in mind, let’s review what we saw last year with the MW3 Zombies/MWZ story trailer.
In that video, we had Victor Zakhaev mercilessly killing soldiers with his team to achieve something in a town. It’s assumed to be the Urzikestan, but the exact location is still unknown. Then, he reaches a room where Weaver from the Black Ops series is nothing but teeth and bones in there.
Zakahev interacts with what presumably Weaver and his team were holding, and it turns out it’s Aetherium matter. There are four small canister slots, and two of them are already taken by an unknown force. Victor takes the other two and throws one of them out, thus turning the people around into zombies. And that’s it.
So, a quick rewind here? That was Weaver and his team right there sitting around the table! There are four skeletons; one is Weaver, the other is Dr Gray – AKA Ava Jansen’s mother – and the other two are presumed to be Maya and Carver. These are the main crew of the Black Ops 6 Zombies Terminus Island map.
To wrap up the info here, the Black Ops 6 Zombies ending is where Weaver and his team have concealed Aetherium in canisters, and they probably die protecting it. Or maybe the Aetherium’s power is too much for them, and they’ve just died interacting with it.
So we’ve got two big questions regarding the Black Ops 6 Zombies ending: 1. How did Weaver and his team end up dead in Urzikestan? 2. Who took the rest of the Aetherium from the safe on the table? We’d probably find more info about this in the Black Ops 6 Zombies story when the game releases this year.
Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is due to release on October 25, 2024, for PSS, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
