In what can only be described as a real-life representation of a Bible verse, a blind man in Seattle, Washington, decided to lead a group of visually impaired people across the street. A minor miscalculation ended up with everyone right in the middle of a roundabout. Thankfully, they were led back to safety, laughing as they unlocked a core memory.
Mark Capone, also known as That Blind Guy or wledonworldwidemark, shared the moment on TikTok. He is a content creator who describes himself as “newly blind.” Therefore, his videos, all captured with his Ray-Ban Meta glasses, show him adapting to the world while visually impaired, most of the time with added hilarity. The clip attached above went viral, garnering 1.6 million views, 147,200 likes, and more than 600 comments.
The Washington man can be seen in the clip walking on the street, followed by other visually impaired individuals. Mark, leading the walk, said that he expected to come across some “bump dots.” These are part of tactile paving, which is meant to help the visually impaired orient themselves while walking on the street.
Confused, Mark, believing he had arrived at the corner, couldn’t feel the bump dots. He sighed a sigh of relief once he did, however, so the stroll was good to continue.
“So, we’re crossing the street now,” he said. “Is everyone close?“
Roundabout Confusion
Mitch, one of those following Mark, asked him if he was sure. Mark, confidently, said that they were, and once he felt the sidewalk on the other side of the road, he told Mitch they had just crossed it. However, they hadn’t at all. In fact, Mark had hit the central island of the roundabout.
After nervously laughing and feeling the curb curve, Mark knew he was not, in fact, on the other side of the road. He said, “I think we overshot it to the right a little bit. I’m, like, walking on a curb. Did we cross in the middle?“
Eventually, a woman approached Mark and walked him toward the sidewalk. The Washington man took it with humor, telling his party, “I told you we were getting lost. They’re trusting me to be the advisor.”
He added, “The good part is the cars don’t want to hit us.”

Some were just wondering how visually impaired individuals such as Mark could orient themselves in public. One wrote, “How do they genuinely find home?” Others, meanwhile, pointed out how Mark’s party wasn’t helped sooner. A user said, “Well, at least you can’t see the people ignoring you and not helping.”
Given Mark’s reaction to the confusion, it appears that he took it as just another opportunity to learn how to live as a visually impaired man in a sometimes non-accommodating world.
