‘Yeah Customers Like That Don’t Get a Delivery’: Maryland Amazon Driver Slams Customer’s 350-Foot Delivery Request

He didn’t sign up for a hike

A Maryland Amazon driver went off after finding delivery instructions telling him to avoid the home’s gravel driveway entirely. Instead, he was asked to park at the mailbox and carry the package 350 feet to the front door. Most commenters backed the driver, with some telling the customer to get a PO box instead.

Posted to TikTok by @lunchinmedia, the video shows the Maryland driver reading the note out loud. “Do not drive on gravel at the house, park at mailbox and walk package to the front door. It’s 350 feet,” he says, before reacting with an expletive-laced rant.

According to his caption, the walk wasn’t just long; it was steep. He says the distance runs 350 feet up and 350 feet back down what he described as a nearly 90-degree incline.

TikTok Sides With the Driver

A lot of commenters felt the instructions crossed into unreasonable territory. “Yeah customers like that don’t get a delivery, moving on to the next customer. Those type of customers need to pick up their package,” one wrote.

Several viewers did the math on the actual distance, pointing out that the walk was about the same length as a “whole football field.” A few offered the customer a blunt alternative. “GET A PO BOX IF YOU CANT HAVE THEM DRIVE UP TO YOUR HOUSE,” one wrote.

Other drivers chimed in with their own war stories. One said they’d gotten a note that same day asking them to ring the doorbell, get let inside, and carry the package all the way to the “master bedroom.”

Not every comment was about the Maryland driver specifically.

Some turned the conversation toward delivery habits in general, questioning whether drivers actually read instructions before marking a package as undelivered. “So you can read delivery instructions, I always wonder when my package isn’t delivered if the delivery instructions were read.” one wrote.

One commenter offered a more sympathetic read on the gravel request itself, simply noting, “I understand it. We wreck gravel.”

Ultimately, the debate became about how far customer convenience should go. Some viewers felt this request crossed the line from convenience into an unreasonable demand. They also questioned why the driver should be the one expected to take on that extra effort.
