Paramount Pictures has released the trailer for Bob Marley: One Love, a biopic that honors and showcases the life of the beloved Jamaican musician. It gives a terrific look at Kingsley Ben-Adir (One Night in Miami), who we see in dreads and clothing that captures the late artist.
The trailer for Bob Marley: One Love takes us throughout the musician’s life with his music as the soundscape. We see his rise to fame, playing to massive crowds, flying on private jets, and more as he enjoys the life of a superstar. Footage also shows the social unrest of Jamaica and how it inspired his message of peace and love. Significant personal moments are shown, including the assassination attempt that led to him playing more peace concerts in response.

The cast behind the rising lead star, who also plays the villain in the Marvel series Secret Invasion. Lashana Lynch (The Woman King) plays the artist’s wife, Rita Marley. Other stars include James Norton (Little Women), Michael Gandolfini (The Many Saints of Newark), Tosin Cole (Doctor Who), Anthony Welsh (The Great), and Nadine Marshall (Paddington 2).
The Bob Marley: One Love trailer not only shows Hollywood’s take on the icon’s life but showcases the fine work of director Reinaldo Marcus Green (King Richard). The script was penned by Terence Winter (Tulsa King), Oscar-nominated screenwriter Zach Baylin (King Richard), and Frank E. Flowers (Shooting Stars).
The film is a product of both Hollywood and family members of the late musician. His children, Ziggy and Cedella Marley produce with their mother, Rita Marley. Other producers include Dedle Gardner, Jeremy Kleiner, and Robert Teitel. Executive producers include Ziggy Marley’s wife, Orly, Richard Hewitt, and Matt Solodky.
2024 will start off strong with Bob Marley: One Love, which will release on January 12 in theaters.
