Shannen Doherty’s cancer battle has earned her the admiration of her co-stars Brian Krause and Drew Fuller. Brian and Drew spoke in glowing terms about their Charmed co-star and the valuable lessons they learned from her. Read on to find out what they said.
Brian Krause And Drew Fuller Laud Shannen Doherty Strength
Charmed alumni Brian Krause and Drew Fuller are showing admiration and support for their co-star.
The actors gave an update on Shannen Doherty’s cancer battle and well-being while talking with E! News. Shannen was first diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2015 but went into remission in 2017.
However, she confirmed in February 2020 that her cancer returned. In Brian and Drew’s eyes, Shannen is a perfect example of strength.
“She’s amazing. She’s a f–king warrior,” Drew the outlet at That’s 4 Entertainment 90s Con 2023, which took place from March 17 to March 19.
“She is so cool and calm and powerful. I’m in awe of her strength, and I’m constantly inspired by her.”
Brian also shared a similar message, noting that Shannen teaches him “that you got to keep throwing punches.”
“I think she’s underestimating how strong she is and strong-willed and determined,” he added. “She’s an inspiration, for sure.”

Shannen Doherty Won’t Let Cancer Put Her Down
Since her cancer diagnosis, Shannen has continued to work in the entertainment industry. She has also used her voice to spread awareness about the reality of her cancer battle.
“I feel like I have a responsibility in my more public life, which I separate from my acting life, to talk about cancer and perhaps educate people more and let people know that people with stage 4 are very much alive and very active,” she said in 2021 during a panel for her film List of a Lifetime, per People.
The movie was premised on a woman who received a cancer diagnosis.
The 51-year-old revealed that her husband often says that no one would even know she has cancer.
The Heathers actress concluded at the time that she doesn’t “really talk about it.” She confessed that she got used to living with it. “It’s part of life at this point,” she explained.
At the time, Shannen noted that she doesn’t have a bucket list, but rather one larger plan on her agenda.
“I’m very much like there’s no bucket list because I’m going to be the longest-living person with cancer,” she said, per the outlet.
“If I had to say one, it would just be living. That’s the only thing on my list at this point.”
Shannen joined her fellow Charmed stars Brian Krause and Drew Fuller on stage at the 90s Con. Dorian Gregory, Rose McGowan, and Holly Marie Combs also came on stage, which made for a nostalgic cast reunion.
Shannen Doherty’s cancer battle proves that she is resilient and strong. Hopefully, the actress will fight and overcome it.
