Bronny James has faced his fair share of criticisms since being drafted into the NBA by the Los Angeles Lakers. However, after the Lakers would send James Jr. down to their G League affiliate team, the young man would take a huge leap. The kid who has faced immense pressure due to being the oldest son of the great LeBron James has finally buckled down and got to work. Is Bronny ready for another chance at the real NBA? Can Jr. handle the physicality and fast pace play? It may be time to find out once and for all.
According to Sports Illustrated, Bronny James has just played “One of his best games as a pro.” However, it has not been just one singular solid game. It has been a recent string of noteworthy performances from LeBron James Jr. Bronny has shown that he may deserve at least one more shot in the NBA. However, the National Basketball Association is an entirely different monster than the G League. Although, over the previous seven games of Bronny’s G League adventure, Jr’s. numbers have seen a significant rise.
NBA Fans React to Bronny James Going Off in the G League
It has, in fact, caught fans’ attention, as they take to social media to talk about Bronny’s recent play.
“Playing better, but still needs to get the FG% up a bit and work on the turnovers,” said one.
“Happy for him. He was getting unnecessary hate. Good to see he is getting more comfortable as his career progresses,” wrote another.
Finally, one fan stated, “He’s playing about 27 min a night while averaging 13.4 ppg on 36.6% shooting from the field, 21.2% from 3, and 67.7% from the line while having a plus/minus of -3.9. Is this a joke?”
While Bronny has been getting better every game, some fans seem to think his current growth is still not enough to deem him NBA-ready.
Bronny James has definitely made some improvements to his game, despite whether he is actually NBA-ready or not. LeBron James Jr., in his most recent game for the South Bay Lakers, finished with 23 points, nine rebounds, and five assists while shooting 7/14 from the field and 3/5 from three. Efficiency and consistency are something James Jr. has struggled with his entire basketball career. If Bronny can continue to perform at a solid level in the G League, he may find himself back in the NBA for good.
James Jr. has faced a lot of hate so far in his very young professional basketball career. However, the young man has also already done incredible things. From being coached his whole life by arguably the best basketball player of all time, who just happens to be his father. All the way to finally being able to share the court with LeBron James. The first father and son duo to play on the same team together in NBA history. Bronny started his career off with a bang. For his sake, hopefully, he continues to elevate his game.
