Argylle released today, but Bryce Dallas Howard has confirmed her next plans with Orlando Bloom for Deep Cover, a Prime Video action-comedy. The British film will also star Paddy Considine, Sean Bean, Nick Mohammed, Ian McShane, and Sonoyo Mizuno.
The film will reveal what happens when improv actors go into a dangerous sting operation. It will follow three improv actors who can’t say no as they accept lowly missions from the police. Things escalate as they find themselves stuck in character and taking on an objective that is too much for them to handle.
Bryce Dallas Howard and Orlando Bloom Mark Their First Collaboration With Prime Video’s Deep Cover
Deep Cover will mark the first time Orlando Bloom and Bryce Dallas Howard will work together. She recently starred in Jurassic World Dominion and Argylle. Meanwhile, the Lord of the Rings actor recently starred in last year’s Gran Turismo from Neill Blomkamp. He will star in the action thriller Red Right Hand later this month for a theatrical and VOD release.
Jurassic World collaborators Derek Connolly and Colin Trevorrow penned the script with British improv duo Ben Ashenden and Alexander Owen. It will be directed by Tom Kingsley. While Trevorrow will not direct, the Argylle star will be reunited with him two years after the release of the final Jurassic World entry, Dominion, which was the third highest-grossing movie of 2022 with $1 billion grossed.
The Jurassic World director will produce with Walter Parkes, Laurie MacDonald, and Annys Hamilton.
Production will begin on February 5 in London with no release date set. Prime Video splits the output of its movies in theaters or makes them exclusive to the streaming platform. In this case, Bryce Dallas Howard and Orlando Bloom will be on your TV and tablets when Deep Cover is eventually released.
