Some states and cities suffer from illegal dumping more than others. One such place is Oakland, which has been struggling with the amount of trash thrown across the streets. Despite Oakland having a $750 fine for illegal dumping, according to CBS News, this didn’t stop a California cybertruck owner from throwing his trash in neighborhoods. He was caught a while ago by residents who started filming him. When the video was shared, a city spokesperson confirmed that they were investigating the matter. Now, the guy is back again.
The first time he was caught, the owner was carrying out illegal dumping in broad daylight. Then, he was caught again by a camera outside a home. This time, however, he was throwing trash during the night. The video shows him pulling up with his Cybertruck. He starts to throw away several items, not caring that he is making noise. It almost looks like he isn’t afraid of getting caught. For about a minute and a half, he keeps throwing trash before he finally leaves. This continuous illegal dumping left California residents furious.
Residents Reacting to the California Cybertruck Owner’s Illegal Dumping
The repetition of the illegal dumping only increased residents’ anger toward the California cybertruck owner. A lot of people started insulting him for how he was acting. “Oh so f**k this guy,” one person wrote. Another said, “Is law enforcement looking into this!? I really don’t like him.” Someone pointed out how the guy’s behavior was shared on the news. Yet, he doesn’t seem to be stopping anytime soon. “It was on the news! I’m shocked he’s still at it! No shame what a scummy human,” one wrote. Another claimed that the owner loves the attention he is getting due to all this illegal dumping. “He’s absolutely getting off on the negative attention,” they added.
Oakland residents have also been trying to identify the owner through his license plate. They, however, believe that he is changing the plates so he won’t get caught. “Probably swaps them to do this,” one person guessed referring to the license plate. This claim made residents throw more insults at the owner. “what an absolute f**king shitbird,” one said. The situation is so bad that some resorted to cleaning up their streets. “Why can’t we get him fined? I know Oakland PD is adverse to their jobs but citizens arrest a thing? This is BS and I’m CONSTANTLY cleaning up on my street, couches mattresses, bags of trash, refrigerators! WTF!” one Redditor shared. I just hope they will be able to stop him.
