Gwyneth Paltrow might not be so age-positive after all! The actress was photographed during a day out with friends in Tribeca, and fans got to see the real her. However, it seems she couldn’t handle the stares.
While out on Monday, Paltrow ditched her Hollywood glam for a completely make-up-free look. Looking super casual, the Iron Man actress donned an oversized khaki jacket over a white cropped t-shirt and loose-fitting navy cargo pants. She substituted her staple heels for simple white sneakers. The actress accessorized with a gold necklace and a huge black-framed glasses. Paltrow was super occupied during the stroll, checking her phone from time to time. She looked a bit disheveled. Her blonde hair, which was styled into a bob, looked rough, stands poking out from everywhere.
However, upon spotting the paparazzi, she seemingly went into hiding. The Sliding Doors star was later photographed holding a huge brown bag to cover her face as she escaped into a building.
Gwyneth Paltrow Once Said ‘I’m Not Afraid Of Wrinkles’
Paltrow’s recent run-in with the paparazzi seemingly betrays her confession to Glamour Magazine about ageing. In the October 2023 interview, the 51-year-old opened up about dealing with the pressure women in Hollywood face to age rightfully.
“I really believe that, first of all, every woman should be able to age or not age exactly the way she wants to do it. Having said that, I do want to age as beautifully as I can. I’m not afraid of wrinkles. I’m not afraid of the those things that come with aging, I’m really not.”
The Golden Globe winner once bashed the Industry’s double standard, comparing how male actors like George Clooney are hailed for ageing while the opposite is true for women. “I think it’s culture’s problem,” she lamented to British Vogue. “But again, we want to be ageing! I think we want to be setting examples of how you can age.” It then begs the questions, did Gwyneth Paltrow set an example during her latest outing?
