Road rage incidents can sometimes be quite crazy, but that doesn’t mean that you will always be prepared to see what comes next. An unbelievable road rage incident took place in California and a witness caught it on camera. You would think that drivers might yell at each other or push each other when arguing. What you don’t expect is seeing someone using an axe just because he got upset at another driver. According to the one who recorded the video, the unhinged driver was cut off by the other one. Apparently, that was enough for him to go off the rails. Instead of just confronting the guy or simply moving on, he decides to use the axe he had with him. Why would anyone be driving around with an axe in the first place?
In the video, the driver brandishes the axe and — through his own open window — he starts slamming it on the other driver’s window. He manages to hit the window five times before his victim decides to be wise and move away from him. Unfortunately for him, it seemed like there was a lot of traffic, which meant that he was stuck there. When the axe disappears, you start thinking that that’s it, but it just keeps going.
The unhinged California driver then exits out of his car (without his axe) and heads to the other driver’s car, opening the front door. Another important question is why would you keep your door unlocked just after you were attacked by an axe? Not exactly wise. The guy starts driving away once the unhinged dude opens the door. The viewer, however, doesn’t get to see what happens next, but hopefully, the axe wasn’t used once more.
People Reacting to the Unhinged California Driver
It’s safe to say that everyone was shocked by how the unhinged California driver behaved. A lot of people were also shocked at how the other driver acted. I mean why did they leave their door open? “Survival instincts of a baby. Why did they just stay there,” one person asked. Someone else asked in disbelief, “a person just beat ur window in with a axe. Why is ur door still unlocked????????” This question was repeated several times as one person wrote, “why didn’t they lock their door after that.” Another person wondered if this would be considered attempted murder. “Technically isn’t that attempted,” they asked.
Others saw that the attacker was overreacting plus crazy too. “omg, who cares if someone cuts you off???? Just let them in,” one person wrote. It can be annoying, yes, but that doesn’t mean you should use an axe while reacting. Someone else wrote, “Life isn’t that serious yall.” It really isn’t. Another person saw that the guy was definitely overreacting. “People really need to learn how to regulate their emotions. This isn’t remotely okay,” they wrote. They’ve got a point though.
Since some people were wild enough to side with the axe guy, one woman had to write, “ppl saying team axe need help.” In addition to all these opinions, a TikTok user looked at the whole situation from a different angle. “Yk how many encounters they had before they just started having an axe??” she asked. I would actually love to know what the moment was that made the California driver decide to have an axe on him. Plus, he should get it checked since it didn’t look like it did any damage to the car.
