California Soldier Shares Delicious Meal But Her Viewers Are Concerned, ‘It’s Giving Last Meal Before Yall Ship Out’

That’s high-quality for a soldier

If you’re in the military or know something about it, you’ve probably heard of the “morale meal.” These meals are sometimes seen as a bad omen for hard times to come, such as deployment nearing for soldiers. That’s why a California soldier’s celebratory dinner has viewers concerned about the future of our country. In fact, this type of meal has them speculating on whether or not the U.S. is going to war.

A TikTok post created by Antonia Lopez (@retiredhotcheetogirly) has viewers spreading rumors like wildfire. Lopez explains the military automatically withdraws $450 from her paycheck so she can have whatever the dining hall is serving. Lopez appears pumped up and excited as she shows viewers what the latest meal consisted of. There’s steak, lobster, hush puppies, shrimp cocktail, garlic break, cake, and so many other fancy additions. As she shows off the meal, it looks like something out of a five-star restaurant and even has me drooling a little.

Lopez goes on to explain they were given the delicious meal due to the Army’s 250th birthday. In turn, all the soldiers were given the meal to celebrate the special day. However, with tensions rising with Iran as the U.S. possibly intervenes with Israeli forces, people are speculating that a meal like this could signal the worst.

One person summed it up by commenting on the video, “Navy here… ‘surf and turf’ was ALWAYS served right before extended deployments, underways to war zones, or MASSIVE bad news that rivaled those previously mentioned.”

Of course, those spreading viral doom over the media were also up against some hilariously dark comments. One commenter said, “Hope you’re learning Farsi” implying we’re going to war with Iran. Another quipped, “Someone said ‘did you know that you have thirty minutes’ and my soul left my body.” And, my personal favorite: “It’s giving last meal before yall ship out.”

The likely explanation is this: It was just a simple celebratory meal. You know, like the ones that are typically given out during holidays and special events. That said, it doesn’t hurt o stay alert. More importantly, be on the up-and-up politically and be aware of indications that war could be on the horizon. These could include an increase in preparations as military supplies are sent overseas, increased military presence in certain locations, and more.
