A California woman was confronted by a woman in a locker room at her local gym. The reason why astounded many TikTok commenters. According to this woman, she was enjoying time at the gym when a woman approached her and accused her of being transgender.
User @ilygen on TikTok shared a post about how she was confronted by an angry gymgoer in a locker room bathroom at Chuze Fitness. While in the bathroom, the Karen gymgoer confronted her and asked her if she was “transitioning,” obviously mistaking this TikToker’s masculine-female look as her being transgender. When @ilygen told the gymgoer she’s a female, the woman furiously told her she would be “taking it up with management.”
This TikToker filmed the entire interaction after she was accused of being transgender and being treated so poorly. She said she was “approached with aggression.” @Ilygen takes matters into her own hands and approaches management, telling them this woman is harassing her. The Karen tells them, “I just asked him, is he a guy or a girl?” completely disregarding the fact that they’re a female who is not actively transitioning whatsoever. She tells management that this woman told her she couldn’t be in the locker room because there were undressed women in there.
In front of management, this Karen continues to berate her. She says, “You don’t look like a female.” @Ilygen responds with, “That’s still none of your business.” She replies, “Yes, it is, if we’re in public.” Finally, management says that if there’s a real problem, one of them can report it. This TikToker continues to say that now she feels uncomfortable using the restroom at all. The Karen keeps saying, “I don’t care. I don’t care. It’s a two-way street.” The woman continues calling her ‘he’ even though she tells her over and over again that she’s a woman. In the end, the gymgoer who confronted her in the first place tries to defend her feelings. It’s clear she becomes more irritated as she’s proven wrong.

I’m so sorry this happened.” One commenter asked, “How did the management handle this???” Another commenter replied, “Right?? Because they should’ve immediately banned that other lady permanently for saying such things at a public gym.”
