Since the beginning of seasonal content for Call of Duty in 2019, every major update has had a pre-load available for PlayStation and Battle.Net users on PC. This had Steam and Xbox users missing out on playing Call of Duty games’ new seasons right after launch, and well, Activision has fixed that. Warzone and MW3 Season 4 Reloaded hits differently this time, as the pre-load allows for more players to enjoy the party as soon as released.

A recent post by COD Warfare on X indicates that the pre-load for MW3 and Warzone Season 4 Reloaded has started for PlayStation users. PS4 and PS5 owners can check their game’s updates tab and begin the process of downloading 36.287 GB worth of content and bundles. However, I had the update button available on Steam hours ago.

As it seems, the trend of giving access only to the PlayStation and Battle.Net users to pre-load Warzone and MW3 Seasonal updates prior to release is over. Alongside Steam, Xbox users can join the pre-load club. And for some reason, Xbox has 4 GBs fewer files to download for MW3 and Warzone Season 4 Reloaded.

The file sizes and downloads may differ for players across platforms. But, here’s how much internet volume you need to spend for updating MW3 and Warzone to Season 4 Reloaded:

  • PS ~ 36 GB
  • Xbox ~ 32 GB
  • Steam ~ 32 GB
  • Battle.Net ~ 31GB

Now the developers might be running a test with this update, or this could be the practice for every upcoming seasonal content. Whatever the case, we all get to enjoy the Warzone and MW3 Season 4 Reloaded at launch, regardless of the platform.

Amir is an absolute Call of Duty nerd, preferring shooter games more than everything. However, he does like to do uppercuts in Mortal Kombat and feel the NOS going through the engines in Need For Speed games.
