Did you think the Camila Cabello and Sabrina Carpenter drama was over? Well, think again because there’s been a new update. Weeks after Carpenter appeared to throw shade at Cabello over her on-and-off relationship with Shawn Mendes, the Fifth Harmony star has finally seemed to react to the diss with a jab of her own at the iHeartRadio Music Festival.
Fans Are Convinced Camila Cabello and Sabrina Carpenter Are Still Feuding Over Shawn Mendes
Over the weekend, Camila Cabello appeared to reference the love triangle drama while performing “Señorita” at the iHeartRadio Music Festival. Notably, the track was released in collaboration with Shawn Mendes in 2017. However, ever since the two broke up in 2021, Cabello has been performing it solo. Still, that hasn’t stopped her from alluding to their relationship during some of her performances of the single.
Now, it seems she may have added Carpenter to the mix. Fans think she shaded the singer at the iHeartRadio Music Festival by leaving out a certain lyric while performing “Señorita.” During the second verse, Cabello is supposed to sing, “You say we’re just friends but friends don’t know the way you taste.” However, she notably skipped over the word “taste.” Since Cabello pointed at her lips when the lyric came up, it seems the moment was deliberate.
Considering Carpenter recently released a single called “Taste” that’s rumored to be about Cabello and Mendes, fans are convinced the Fifth Harmony alum has fired back shots of her own with her shady performance.
Carpenter dropped “Taste” as part of her Short n’ Sweet album on Aug. 23. The song is supposedly about a guy who left her to reconcile with an ex-girlfriend. Since Mendes got back together with Cabello shortly after his fling with Carpenter last year, fans have linked the lyrics to the stars’ love triangle.
Mendes has been quiet regarding the drama. However, Camila Cabello and Sabrina Carpenter have done nothing but shade each other over the past few weeks, according to fans.
