One of the best things about playing a survival game that doubles as an MMO is that you can usually change your character anytime. You can delete the character and start all over if you’d like. You’d think that Once Human would be similar, but there are a few hoops players have to jump through beforehand. Let’s take a deep dive into whether you can delete your character in Once Human or not.

Deleting Your Once Human Character

Unfortunately, players cannot delete their characters after they’ve been made in Once Human. The developer did not provide an in-game reason for this; it’s just not something players can do now. So, when you’re creating your character, be as sure as possible that they’re everything you want them to be before moving on. You can’t even change your character’s name after selecting it. However, players who are adamant about having a new character can make a new one on a different server instead.

Although players can’t delete their characters, they can make new ones if they are dissatisfied with the one they did make. The game doesn’t outright tell you this, but if you select a completely different server from the one your main character is in and start the game, you’ll be put in the character creator for a new character. Of course, you’ll just have several characters that can’t be deleted if you choose to continue making characters or switching servers.

Before jumping into the game, ensure that the server is switched to the one that you want. The moment the character creator starts up, the slot for that server will be taken up, forcing you to have to keep the character regardless.
