Call of Duty Zombies mode has always been a fun experience that you can play either solo, duos, trios, or even quads. By the release of Modern Warfare 3‘s Zombies, however, the teaming format for the mode has changed — so much so, in fact, that you can even attack the undead in a 6-man squad! So, if you’re wondering if you can play MW3 Zombies solo or offline, here’s what you need to know.
Can You Play MW3 Zombies Solo and Offline?
Yes, you can play MW3 Zombies solo, as long as you turn off the automatic squad fill button. However, you cannot play MW3 Zombies offline, whether you want to play solo or with your teammates on the split screen mode. This is because all the data on the MWZ mode is saved online, and the map you’ll be playing on is not round-based like old times.
In fact, the new Zombies mode of the Modern Warfare 3 is a mission-based experience. This is a DMZ x Zombies mode, where you can do contracts in an open world map and complete missions to make progress in the story. Now all these missions are synced online, and all your progress is saved on your Activision account so even if you play solo in MW3 Zombies, you cannot play it offline.
This is a new thing for all the CoD Zombies fans. There are a total of 11 Call of Duty games that have the Zombies mode, and all of them feature an offline solo, except for Modern Warfare 3. This is while one of the most important things about the MW3 Zombies is that you can complete all of its missions and easter eggs alone.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 is currently available to play on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and PC.
