If there is one thing we can all agree on, it’s that Capcom has been on a roll with new game releases. These last years are a clear example of it. From Resident Evil 4 to the fantastic remaster of Dead Rising and even Street Fighter 6 that keeps pumping out content, all of these titles have been absolute bangers. However, despite the many amazing games we’ve gotten to play, Capcom isn’t hitting the brakes because it seems that 2026 might be its biggest year yet.
Capcom’s 2026 Lineup Is Wild
Out of all the games coming out this year, Capcom has so many of them that we’ve been eager to play, and some of them will launch in the first months of the year.
For starters, Capcom is kicking off with Resident Evil Requiem, which is the next mainline installment of the series. This is a pretty big deal, as it isn’t only introducing a new protagonist but also seeing the return of the beloved Leon S. Kennedy, now older, wiser, with the same acrobatic kicks and some chainsaw-stealing moves.
A month after that, we’re getting now one, but two new games, or rather, one new game, a collection of several games. Many of us might still be hunting in Monster Hunter Wilds, especially after TU4, but Monster Hunter Stories 3 is landing in March, and it brings so many improvements to the creature-collector series, and of course, many hunters for players to tame. And for those who love Mega Man, the Star Force Legacy Collection will also arrive at the end of March.
But that’s not all: the last game with a 2026 release date is, drum roll please, Pragmata, which is just over the horizon and will launch at the end of April. So far, people have loved the demo, completed several playthroughs, and even praised its optimization.
Still, there is another game out there that just has a 2026 release window, and that is Onimusha: Way of the Sword. There isn’t a specific release day for this one, but we know this might be the year when we jump into a new Onimusha installment.
Furthermore, we shouldn’t forget about the ongoing games. Street Fighter 6 has been on fire with its recent updates. Years 1 and 2 passes have brought some amazing fighters, including some from beloved collaborations, and Monster Hunter Wilds added Gogmazios, a crossover with FFXIV, and has already teased a collab with Monster Hunter Stories 3, as well as Arkveld in its Arch-tempered form, which will surely be a fun fight.
Overall, we’re excited for Capcom’s future projects, even those without a release date, such as the Okami Sequel and Mega Man: Dual Override. We can only hope to get information about them soon, but if not, we know we’ll be quite busy this year with this lineup.
