One company that has been launching hit after hit as of late is Capcom. The developer has been pouring its all into its latest games, and we hope they don’t stop. In a recent investors’ Q&A, the people behind the company teased various things with somewhat confusing corporate slang. However, out of everything they said, they gave players hope for Resident Evil spin-off remakes in the future. While nothing is official and hasn’t been confirmed, the company knows remakes are doing great, and if they apply that treatment to spin-offs, we’re in for a treat!
Capcom Says It’s Considering the Possibility of Resident Evil Spin-Off Remakes
While the mainline titles of the series are fantastic, several Resident Evil spin-offs deserve a remake as well. One of the most requested ones by the player base has been Code Veronica. This title gives a lot of juicy lore details on the series, and it starts right after Resident Evil 2, with Claire taking the lead. If Capcom is truly considering a remake for any of the spin-offs, this one would be a great one to start with. Many others could also be considered, but Code Veronica takes the number one spot on the waiting list.

Ray Tracing Will Return To Resident Evil 2 And 3, Says Capcom
Let’s take everything with a grain of salt, as everyone speculates what was said in the Q&A session. After being asked, “Will you be providing high-end visual remakes of only the main numbered entries in the Resident Evil series?” The company replied, “We are carrying out discussions regarding the future expansion of this series so it can be enjoyed by a wide audience.” So yeah, that’s a bit vague, but dreaming doesn’t hurt.
In the meantime, there are hints of a new DLC coming to Resident Evil 4 Remake, which might mean “Separate Ways” is launching soon. Various players have spotted new achievements on Steam, and this bodes well for those waiting for new content for this amazing remake. So, let’s hope Capcom makes an announcement soon, so we can get back to the game and see its story from Ada Wong’s perspective.
