Fans of Cara Delevigne and Taylor Swift will know that the pair have been friends for years (the “Love Story” singer is known to have a legion of loyal BFFs with whom she spends a lot of time, and Delevigne is amongst her inner circle). Many believe their friendship started around 2013 when they were thought to have met at a Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show, and in the decade that has followed, they have continued to strengthen their bond.
What many people may not have realized about this friendship is that the pair even lived together for a while, and the British model recently revealed why that was. In a chat with Interview Magazine, Delevigne discussed her friendship with Swift and how she is someone that she can count on to have her back in the good times and the bad. Describing her as “one of the funniest, most clever people,” the model revealed that they lived together for a while when Swift supported her through a bad breakup.
“I was going through a really horrible breakup, and she let me live with her,” Delevigne said. Although she did not give details of the breakup, some of her high-profile romances include couplings with Ashley Benson, St. Vincent, and Michelle Rodriguez. As of 2022, she is dating musician Minke.
Delevigne continued, “We’re very different people. She’s very homely, because she looked after me so well, but we got into some — not trouble, but I definitely took her for a bit of a wild ride. Just to get her to blush would be great.”

Unfortunately, Delevigne chose not to describe this “wild ride,” which would have provided an interesting glimpse into Swift’s life because she is often considered a good, wholesome girl and a role model for youngsters.
Everyone needs a friend like Swift, and the bond between the musician and Delevigne is so strong that there have even been rumors about the model playing an important part in Swift’s wedding (you know, if she does end up walking down the aisle with Travis Kelce, which is looking pretty likely). “Taylor adores Cara. She was one of the people really pulling for her when she went through her hard time, and she’s never forgotten that,” an insider told Life & Style. “There’s a lot of mutual respect between them. Cara really looks up to her and is so in awe of all that she’s achieved.”
Blake Lively is reported to be another contender for the maid of honor role, so we will have to wait and see who ultimately emerges victorious. But we all know who we are rooting for, and Delevigne seems like she would bring a lot of energy and fun to the celebration.
