Carrie Underwood proved a hit as she updated her Instagram with chicken-centric content this week. Posting three days ago, the 40-year-old country singer channeled her inner farm girl as she filmed the chickens she and husband Mike Fisher keep, and it looks like she’s in for plenty of eggs.
Sharing an adorable moment showing the poultry all running toward the camera at once, Carrie melted fans with the cute animal moment, even saying that watching them “run up for treats” is something she adores. Fans left the Grammy winner over 27,000 likes, but the post didn’t come without questions in the comments.
Carrie Underwood Shows Instagram Her Chickens
The video showed a large outdoor space protected by ceiling-effect chicken wire and sturdy fencing. Carrie, who seems keen on keeping her chickens happy and healthy, had furnished them with plenty of grass, with the footage showing them running to the lens and under sunny skies.
A mass flurry of chicken activity greeted the “Cry Pretty” singer’s followers, who also saw her writing: “I love watching them run up for treats!”
“Ducks also,” one fan replied.
Asked How Much The Eggs Are
One fan amusingly replied: “How much do you charge for a dozen eggs? @carrieunderwood.” The singer has not responded, however she is known for rarely replying to fans on Instagram.
‘We wanted to make it match the house a little bit,” Carrie has revealed of how she designed her chicken coop. Of the wire fencing, the blonde also said: “That’ll keep out snakes, weasels, and other potential predators.”
Carrie began raising chickens in 2020. Honoring her country roots as she delved into the world of poultry, the music superstar dished: “The day they got there, I was like, ‘Ladies, you just hit the jackpot. You’re just gonna be our little pets and live here forever and live the good life.” Underwood has more than just chickens to handle, though.
Amid a busy career that includes her Las Vegas Residency, albums, public appearances, and the Fit52 workout app she runs, the star is raising sons Jacob and Isaiah. Both are shared with husband Mike, whom she married in 2010.
Carrie’s post even brought in love from others raising birds. “I love watching our chickens run too. They’re like little kids running up for snack time after playing hard,” one fan replied. Carrie is followed by over 13 million on Instagram.
