Chanel West Coast received both praise and criticism as she delivered an Instagram update on her new family reality show ahead of the weekend. The 35-year-old Ridiculousness alum shared a video that included boyfriend and baby daddy Dom Fenison on Thursday, also featuring November 2022-born daughter Bowie Breeze.
Hinting at what’s to come in the wake of confirming that she’s landed her own series, Chanel showed off her figure in double denim as she rocked a miniskirt, but some fans were frowning on the skimpy display as they critiqued her for wearing a leggy look with her daughter present. Regardless of the negativity, the post earned the MTV alum over 9,000 likes.
Chanel West Coast Drops Big Instagram News About New Show
All smiles from a studio set, Chanel swished her hair around as she posed with Dom and little Bowie.
Confidently showing her postpartum physique as she modeled a floral-print, two-tone denim miniskirt that showed off her toned legs, Chanel peeped her flat midriff as she rocked a matching top with puff sleeves and a bust bow, going for a fun, summery look with feminine accents. She even added in massive platforms in the same fabrics.
Looking pleased with herself as went “ta-da!” with her arms while Dom kneeled down near Bowie, Chanel told her fans: “BTS of the photo shoot for my new @mtv show! Let’s be honest though… @bowiebreeze is the real star here ⭐️✨.” A #comingsoon followed.
The Miniskirt Police Are After Her
Someone always has to come in and spoil things. Shaming the rapper for her look, one fan wrote: “That Skirt is way too short for a family picture! Give me a break.” Over 15 fans agreed.
Also hating on Chanel and her outfit was a fan who said: “The length of this skirt…. Is it even a skirt? Why not just wear a bikini?” A third jumped in to write: “Your boyfriend and daughter look so nicely dressed … and then there’s you.”
That said, one fan could see it all coming. Encouraging Chanel to turn a blind eye to the mom-shaming, they told her: “The more you ignore the hate, the more you elevate!”
Chanel was body-shamed in the wake of giving birth, although fans largely seem to think she’s flourished since becoming a mother. The L.A. native, now residing in Miami, FL, quit Ridiculousness last year, promising bigger and better things to come. It looks like her upcoming show may well be it.
